008 Asia-Pacific Chinese Business Leaders Forum (APCE) was held in Boao, Hainan
Chairman Lan Chuhan won the title of "2008 most socially responsible Chinese business leader in the Asia-Pacific" and the "Outstanding Contribution Award" at the Asia-Pacific Chinese Business Leaders Forum On July 31, "2008 Asia-Pacific Chinese Business Leaders Forum and the Award Presentation Ceremony for the most socially responsible Chinese business leaders in the Asia-Pacific" was held in Boao, Hainan. At the awards ceremony, chairman of the Group Lan Chuhan won the title of "2008 most socially responsible Chinese business leader in the Asia-Pacific" and the "Outstanding Contribution Award" at the Asia-Pacific Chinese Business Leaders Forum.  
The conference is aimed to recognize socially responsible and charitable Chinese business leaders in different industries in the Asia Pacific region who have created wealth for society, demonstrate their "business success" and "a high degree of social responsibility to the motherland", and praise them for actively fulfilling corporate social responsibilities, and participating in social welfare. They have not only made great contributions to China’s economic development, but also have the courage to shoulder social responsibilities, having made unremitting efforts and remarkable achievements in promoting the social and economic development of the motherland and the host countries.
All along, Chairman Lan has been concerned about the construction of his hometown. He has made generous donations for many times to support the public welfare of the hometown. Over the years, he has steadily donated nearly 10 million yuan to build roads and water conservancy facilities for Shangdong Village and improve the appearance and image of the village, and support the constructions of Xiandong Road, schools, security guard posts, Chigang middle school expansion project and other construction projects. In March 2007, Chairman Lan Chuhan donated 200,000 yuan to buy five thousand children's books for six primary schools at Xiandong primary school and Shangdong primary school; in January 2008, Chairman Lan donated more than 1 million to support the road construction at Fengjiang Town, Jiexi County, which contributed to the formation of the local road network, and greatly eased the original poor road conditions......
Under the leadership of Chairman Lan, while taking efforts to promote the development of the enterprise, and fulfill our corporate social responsibilities, the Group is determined to be a good corporate citizen, actively participating in social ware and charity activities. In November 2007, the Group donated 1.1 million yuan to Guangdong Charity Federation to support the development of education in poor areas of the province; in February 2008, the Group sent the clothing donated by the Group’s cadres and employees with a value of nearly 100,000 yuan to the warehouses of the disaster relief centre in Guangzhou to offer love to victims suffering from the snowstorm. In May, the Group donated 1 million yuan to the earthquake affected people in Wenchuan......
At the ceremony, the organizer invited the chairman to speak on behalf of winners. Chairman Lan pointed out that enterprise is a member of society; in the development process, the enterprise should repay society and contribute their love, which is a matter of course and their due responsibility. Each entrepreneur should emphasize the word "love" and fully fulfill their responsibilities, and they should incorporate the two words into their corporate culture.

The fourth President of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Zhuang Yanlin, Vice Governor of Hainan Province, Jiang Sixian, former congressman of Singapore, Zhang Yongxiang, deputy director of Tenth Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese of CPPCC, Chen Yuyi, vice president of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, Chen Kaizhi, director of China Rural and Urban Better-off Live Development Promotion Center, Li Desheng and other foreign political and economic leaders, Chinese business community leaders from over 30 countries, well-known Asia-Pacific Chinese business leaders, and more than a dozen of best cities / most potential cities in China, the world's top 500 enterprises, well-known Chinese enterprise representatives, and invited media representatives, with a total of about 500 people, attended the event.
